Bluffton University invites applications for an assistant professor, full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Education or Special Education beginning fall 2021.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate special education or other education classes, student teaching supervision, recruiting and advising. Student teaching/methods placements are also part of this position. Additional opportunities to teach in Bluffton’s Enduring Values general education program are available.
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with education and experience within the university pay scale.
Ph.D./Ed.D. preferred, master’s considered in Special Education, special education teaching credentials, and at least three years of successful teaching in a special education classroom. OR Ph.D./Ed.D. preferred, master’s considered in Elementary Education or Curriculum or a related field, teaching credentials (El. Ed. or Early Childhood and the Reading Endorsement), at least three years of successful teaching in a P-5 classroom or a reading classroom. Effective teaching in a higher education classroom preferred, but not required. Ph.D./Ed.D. required for tenure.
