Job Description Summary
This is a position for Research Specialist, Level A, with a purpose to investigate the pathogenic mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders using mouse as a model organism. The primary function of this position includes functional characterization of genetically modified mice using electrophysiological, molecular, cellular and behavioral approaches, such as cryo-sections, immunohistochemistry, EEG recording and confocal microscopy. Other duties include breeding, genotyping and management of mouse colonies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Individuals with experience in electrophysiolgical or imaging methods, and experience working with rodents are preferred.

This position is contingent upon grant funding.
