The Chair of the Foundation (first-year) program provides educational and administrative leadership for the Foundation department and collaborates with other programs and offices to achieve the College’s mission.
Otis’ Foundation program emphasizes fundamentals of art and design, critical thinking, making skills transferrable to all of the College’s Majors. This leader will guide students to enhance their creativity, refine their voice, and transform their ideas into final form.
The position leads faculty members to innovatively design and deliver contemporary curriculum, advises students to find their creative and academic paths, and works closely with chairs of other majors.
