Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant II reports to the Director of Disability Services, and is responsible for handling day to day financial matters as well as providing general office support and coordination for the Office of Disability Services.

Responsibilities

Prepare requisitions for POs; process and track budget payment for departmental expenditures
Process payment requests for vendors and employees; process employee travel requests and travel reimbursements
Order and maintain office supply inventory; utilize GA First Financial and Marketplace; handles vendor relations
Monitor testing cameras at all times
Manage test materials for coordinator return or professor pick up; coordinate resources, supplies, transition materials and distribute the materials as needed
Coordinate and manage event coverage, open houses and other marketing, informational and educational opportunities for the disability services office; provide any accommodation needs not covered by coordinators
Makes general appointments for coordinators/director, and answers phone calls, providing information or referral as required; records meeting notes/action items
Register and coordinate travel and conference prior approvals for the disability services office staff
Provide overall general office duty activities such as directing and greeting students, filing and updating accommodation management system as needed; perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School or GED
Two or more years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

2 Year / Associate Degree

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration.
Attention to detail and superior organizational skills
