Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President for Safety and Risk Services, the Clery Act Compliance Officer works collaboratively with various offices at the University to ensure the institution’s compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and associated regulations. This position will chair the University’s Clery Compliance Committee; keep abreast of changes to Clery’s statutory and regulatory scheme; implement and develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Clery Act and regulations; and educate University constituents, including Campus Security Authorities, on Clery requirements. This position also works closely with the crime analyst in the CSU Police Department to compile and classify statistics for the University’s Annual Fire and Safety Report. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and must be able to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders across campus, including officials from the Police Department, the University Policy Office, the Office of General Counsel, the Office of Risk Management and Insurance, the Dean of Students office, Housing and Dining Services, Athletics/NCAA Compliance Office, University Communications, Division of Equity, Equal Opportunity and Title IX, and others. The successful candidate will also be able to identify compliance issues and propose solutions without significant supervisory direction.
