Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $170,000.00
Maximum $185,000.00

Job Summary
The podiatric physician position is a full-time clinical position with a primary responsibility of providing patient care. The patient care will involve surgical and non-surgical care in the outpatient and inpatient setting. The outpatient facilities currently involve the WesternU Health Oliver Station and will include future clinics as they are developed. Additional responsibilities include clinical education of students and residents and development of the clinical practice as guided by the Medical Director of the WesternU Health Pomona Foot & Ankle Center and the Medical director of WesternU Health Oliver Station 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Provide clinical care to patients at WesternU Health Oliver Station and local community hospitals, including participation in the hospital call schedule for urgent/emergent care.
    • Provide clinical care to patients at other clinical facilities as the opportunities arise
    • Work closely with and support the clinical faculty of College of Podiatric Medicine (CPM) through participation in the clinical education for CPM podiatric medical students.
    • Support the collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care that is the premise underlying the care provided at WesternU
    • Support CPM through active participate in the mission of WesternU as a clinical education entity by providing clinical education to students and residents
    • Provide assistance in developing clinical opportunities for the Foot & Ankle Center and WesternU Health Oliver Station under the guidance of the Dean of CPM, the Medical Director of WesternU Health Oliver Station, and the Chief Medical Officer of the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP)
    • Actively support and contribute to the continuous quality improvement efforts at Oliver Station and other clinical facilities as assigned 



Required Qualifications
1. Licensed podiatric physician in Oregon
2. Board Certified/Qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and/or the American Board of Podiatric Medicine
