Description
A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) is seeking a full-time exempt Clinical Coordinator/Assistant Professor for Physician Assistant Studies on the Mesa, Arizona campus.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular on-site visits of supervised clinical practice experience (SCPE) sites to evaluate student performance, ensure site adequacy, and foster professional relationships.
- Assist in the direction, development, implementation and evaluation of the clinical curriculum.
- Provide guidance and direction to program staff and faculty involved in the second-year curriculum.
- Network with appropriate offices and departments involved in medical and allied health education and with external agencies useful or in support of the clinical education of students.
- Develop SCPEs that meet ARC-PA standards.
- Establish and evaluate clinical learning objectives and assessments.
- Recruit, train, and orient clinical preceptors.
- Create and disseminate educational materials and resources for preceptors.
- Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director and Program Director.
Education & Experience:
- Master's degree required, doctoral degree preferred.
- At least two years of healthcare experience.
- At least one year of educational experience in a faculty leadership role preferred.
- Knowledge of PA practice competencies.
- Strong ability to develop and deliver medical course instruction.
