The Assistant Director of Instructional Experience will play a key role in enhancing the quality of instruction, supporting faculty development, and ensuring the highest standards of educational delivery. This position involves close collaboration with faculty, administration, and staff to promote innovative teaching practices and continuous improvement in instructional methodologies.
Assist in the development and implementation of instructional strategies that align with the institution’s academic goals.
Collaborate with faculty to design and deliver high-quality, evidence-based educational programs and curricula.
Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities for faculty to enhance their teaching skills.
Conduct regular assessments of instructional practices and recommend improvements based on data and feedback.
Foster a culture of academic excellence and innovation within the institution.
Manage instructional resources and coordinate with other departments to ensure effective use of educational technologies.
Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in higher education instruction and integrate relevant developments into the institution’s teaching practices.
Assist in the evaluation and selection of instructional materials and technologies.
Support the Director of Instruction in strategic planning and policy development related to teaching and learning.
Represent the institution at academic conferences, workshops, and professional meetings as needed.
Master’s degree in education, Instructional Design, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an instructional or educational leadership role, preferably in higher education.
Strong understanding of instructional design principles and educational technologies.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administrators, and staff.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from the full range of diverse populations.
Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
Ability to analyze data to inform instructional practices and decision-making.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field plus four (4) years of related work experience and one (1) year of supervisory/team experience.
Special licenses or certifications may be required depending on the nature of the position.
Must have valid driver’s license if traveling to off‐site locations.
Official transcripts are required.
Must possess a current and valid Texas driver’s license.
Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Assist in managing the daily operations of the instructional team to ensure efficient and effective educational delivery.
Analyze current instructional practices and identify areas for improvement to enhance educational outcomes across various academic departments.
Lead scenario planning and strategic discussions to advance instructional methodologies and curriculum development.
Conduct comprehensive analyses of instructional gaps, providing actionable insights for enhancing teaching quality and student success.
Improve data governance and quality through strong partnerships with relevant departments and stakeholders.
Utilize data analysis to bring insights that inform and improve instructional strategies and decision-making.
Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret data and inform instructional improvements.
Communicate information clearly and persuasively, both orally and in writing, to faculty, staff, and administration.
Respond to routine requests for information related to instructional practices and policies.
Draft correspondence and produce various documents, including reports, memos, forms, and charts, as required.
Facilitate new faculty orientation and provide ongoing support for instructional staff development.
Ensure accurate interpretation, implementation, and communication of instructional policies and procedures in accordance with college, local, state, and federal guidelines, and regulations.
Employ excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to interact with college staff, students, educators, administrators, and the public.
Utilize strong communication skills when engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders within the college community.
Complete required professional development training hours as stipulated by the institution each academic year.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the instructional goals and mission of the institution.
