Job Summary
This position works collaboratively with GGC Advancement staff, Communications, Financial Aid, Facilities, as well as with external agencies and vendors to grow and execute a comprehensive Stewardship program. The Assistant Director drives programming to ensure that donors to GGC are properly acknowledged, communicated with, and stewarded.
This position provides key operational support toward Advancement's strategic priorities of building a culture of philanthropy and raising the visibility of Georgia Gwinnett College among current and prospective donors and alumni. This position plays a pivotal role in managing donor communications, publications, correspondence, and events.
The Assistant Director of Stewardship reports directly to the Executive Director of Advancement Services.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive stewardship program; produce annual stewardship collateral including stewardship reports, annual donor and grant reports, honor rolls, and alike; maintain established naming standards and guidelines for campaign and other related giving priorities; and focus on ensuring policies, protocols, and systems to achieve optimal experience for all donors.
Manage a small portfolio of established donors, making regular visits and calls to them.
Lead the efforts for new donor welcome packets, Thank View software utilization and work closely with development staff on moves management, as it relates to stewardship.
Maintain and grow the gift acknowledgement process, coordinating thank you notes from other campus units, and collaborate with Development team to create and execute specialty acknowledgements and stewardship for various donor programs and groups.
Lead and develop donor events to include gala, scholarship reception, annual giving events and additional donor activities as appropriate, assisting with planning and staff events as requested, support Advancement events across the division as requested.
Work with Financial Aid to administer the college¿s scholarship program, serving as the lead for Advancement and in collaboration with GGC Foundation staff: maintain scholarship fund and donor information within relevant data systems; work directly with student beneficiaries, including securing thank you notes; and prepare students for event attendance, participation in videos / fundraising campaigns, public speaking opportunities, and meetings with donors.
Support the maintenance of donor recognition societies, selection and delivery of recognition items.
Partner with other units to provide content for regular magazine features, web profiles, news releases, and special announcements featuring donors and gifts. Provide communications support for alumni and annual giving activities.

Required Qualifications
4 Year / Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Three or more years of experience in in advancement/development, preferably in a higher education setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate Degree Master's degree desirable
Experience using Blackbaud products or other relational database and e-communications platforms.
Experience tracking projects in a project management system such as ClickUp, Slack, or MS Project
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Demonstrated ability to take a project from conception to completion.
Excellent writing skills and project management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with various groups of people.
Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
High-level attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, internet searching, and social media
Requires periodic work outside normal business hours to support events and activities
