Position Description

The Nonprofit Leadership program, part of the Department of Public Affairs and Nonprofit Leadership in the College of Arts & Sciences at Seattle University, invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty position, beginning September 2024 for AY24-25. The program includes a Master of Nonprofit Leadership and a Graduate Certificate in Fundraising Leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in nonprofit and/or philanthropic studies, teaching experience in-person and online, relevant practitioner experience, and a commitment to social justice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching up to four (4) graduate level courses such as Foundations of the Nonprofit Sector; Nonprofit Governance; Financial Management, and/or the Practicum for the Master of Nonprofit Leadership Program, and will demonstrate commitment to the university's mission, vision and values.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or advanced ABD in a related discipline preferred. Master's degree in nonprofit studies or a closely related field is required.

Compensation at a Glance:

Salary Range: $4700-5100 per course

Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any other protected status.
