Position Description
The Clinical Mental Health Counseling in the Department of Leadership and Professional Studies at Seattle University is inviting applications for part-time adjunct faculty to teach in multiple areas of our graduate degree programs in Counseling. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching one or more of the program's courses, ranging from core CACREP courses in theories and helping skills to specialty courses in psychopharmacology and additions to more advanced lab or Internship courses. Adjunct instructors may teach up to 12 credit hours per academic year (Fall, Winter, and Spring terms) plus up to 2 courses in the 8-week Summer term. All courses are offered in person at Seattle U campus from M through Th from 4p-8p (with some lab experiences until 9p). At least two hours of office hours per class, per week are typical and grading of assignments in a timely manner are required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have an PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education or related clinical field; however, the minimum requirement is a master's degree and a professional practice license as a mental health clinician (LMHC preferred). Teaching and clinical experiences are highly valued.

Compensation at a Glance:
Salary Range: $1400 for facilitators of lab activities - $5100 for returning adjuncts with doctoral degrees
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any other protected status.
