Web Development Librarian
The University of Alabama Libraries seeks a talented, energetic, innovative, and entrepreneurial professional who desires to work in a creative, collaborative, and respectful environment. S/he will identify and implement promising new technologies that can positively impact services or generate a better user experience. Reporting to the Manager of Web Technologies and Development, this position will engage in project work and support new technology initiatives derived from our strategic plan and opportunities that arise as part of our teaching, research, and service missions. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, maintaining and enhancing our web presence in its many forms; extending web frameworks, applications and tools; and developing modern system integrations. The University Libraries is a beta development partner with EBSCO Industries on the FOLIO Library Services Platform; this position will also participate in development projects with the Open Library Foundation to support this LSP.
