GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for creation and supervision of effective first-year experience program. Develops campus programming focused on activities that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Oversees new student orientation and Peer Leadership initiative. Builds effective working relationships with faculty in Learning Framework discipline. Reports to the Director of Student Engagement and exercises supervision over professional staff. Note: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
Sedentary: Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: More than one year of work experience in higher education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: More than one year of work experience at a two-year college.
Special: Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are fluent in conversational Spanish, and can also demonstrate multicultural awareness.
