Job Summary

Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) invites applicants for an Assistant Professor faculty position in the Department of Exercise Science and Physical Education starting August 1, 2024.
Candidates will be expected to teach a variety of courses within the exercise science discipline, including Exercise Physiology, Clinical Exercise Physiology, and Testing and Prescription of Exercise. Faculty are also expected to mentor students in the exercise science major, serve on committees as discipline representative and/or in a leadership role, as well as engage in scholarship and creative activities. Applicants with a strong commitment to undergraduate education through student engagement and research are encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field, on or before the semester of the start date and a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours within the discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

The Department of Exercise Science and Physical Education and GGC are interested in candidates with experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for all students, regardless of background. The candidate will be expected to perform additional duties as assigned.
