Job Description

  1. Provide leadership and supervision of assigned College Program.
  2. Develop and implement goals and objectives in compliance with federal legislation and regulations and college guidelines.
  3. Program leadership for strategic planning, budget development and administration related to operation and services.
  4. Provide coaching, advice and assistance to subordinates as required/ needed.
  5. Appropriately assess contributions and performances of employees; provides appropriate recognition, and deals with problems as they arise.
  6. Identify requirements and effectively uses information, personnel, time, and other resources necessary to accomplish program/ grant goals & objectives and develops evaluation criteria for monitoring goal progress and accomplishments.
  7. Hire, train, supervise and evaluate program staff.
  8. Prepare, analyze and submit timely federal, college and other reports as required.
  9. Serve as liaison between College departments, vendors, government agencies, and/or other external organizations

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree and five (5) years of high school teaching experience or providing academic and/or personal counseling to secondary students identified as at-risk. Prior experience working with TRIO or another program for underrepresented students is strongly preferred.  In the event remote working is required, access to internet and a computer with a webcam and microphone is required. Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing with violation points less than five (5).
