Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
To perform a wide variety of responsible secretarial, clerical and routine administrative duties. To provide the full range of duties as assigned to include typing, filing, scheduling appointments, data input, and answering the telephone. Assist employees, students, parents, and the general public. This position receives general supervision from the Project Director of Upward Bound and exercises no supervision.
Note: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
Sedentary: Desk Work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other than normal movement. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
Minimum qualifications & Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: One year work experience or internship in an office environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One year experience working with high school students from low-income households or 13-19 year olds who are potential first generation college students.
