Job Description


The University of Michigan Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking passionate teaching faculty to join our community of committed, long-term teaching faculty. Teaching load typically consists of 2 courses per semester, with a mix of lower level and specialized upper level courses based on preference and expertise with opportunities for collaborative teaching.  Faculty are supported by outstanding teaching assistants consisting of undergraduate and graduate students, who support grading, course development, and other responsibilities. Many of our teaching faculty also maintain an active research agenda, are involved in service, and play a prominent role in driving the mission of the department.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
