Job Description Summary:
Bilingual (English and Mandarin) Tenure-Track Faculty - for Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program

The College of Business at the University of La Verne seeks a bilingual (English and Mandarin) candidate to fill a full-time tenure-track position in Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program to begin in Fall 2024. The position is an Assistant or Associate Professor. The specialties are open to any business field covered in the DBA Program, including management, marketing, finance, IT, quantitative/ qualitative methods, or closely related areas. The new faculty member is expected to demonstrate the ability to teach in a small-size environment, to publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and to provide service to the university and community.

The selected candidate will join a committed and diverse faculty and to play a key role in planning the future direction and growth of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program, participate in collaborative research projects, and outreach to the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. College of Business seeks candidates whose teaching, research, and service have prepared them to contribute to the university's commitment to diversity and inclusivity in higher education.

Specific Duties:


Minimum Qualifications:
· Doctoral degree in a relevant business field from an institution accredited by AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS, or ABET with an academic background in management, marketing, finance, IT, quantitative/qualitative methods, or closely related field. Doctoral candidates with a near completion are encouraged to apply.

· Willingness and ability to teach advanced courses tailored for doctoral-level students in DBA program.

· Fluent in English and Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing).

· A strong commitment to teaching excellence. Experience working with a diverse student body is desirable.

· A well-defined research agenda, and the potential to publish in quality peer-review journals within their area of expertise.
