The Clinical Mental Health Counselor provides overall clinical and outreach/educational programming services to best meet the needs of the Governors State University diverse student population. Specific responsibilities include intake, assessment, time-limited individual counseling, outreach, consultation and crisis intervention in the areas of mental health and wellness. The Clinical Mental Health Counselor serves as a member of the Counseling and Wellness Center. The Clinical Mental Health Counselor provides clinical consultation to the university faculty and staff, ensures compliance with accepted clinical standards and regulatory requirements, and serves as a point person for parents of students with mental health questions. Starting Salary Range: up to $60,000.00. (This is a non-negotiated position. Salary starts at the base and is determined based on Education and Experience exceeding the minimum qualifications).
