Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) invites applications for the position of assistant professor to teach in our Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene program on the Fort Wayne (IUFW) campus (Fort Wayne, Indiana). This is a 1.0 FTE, 10-month (August through May), non-tenure track position.
With faculty dedicated to and focused on each of our students’ maximum development and growth, our Fort Wayne program ranks among the best in the nation in student pass rates on clinical, state and national examinations.
The candidate we are seeking will come with a passion for student growth and achievement, academic and clinical excellence, proficiency in virtual didactic instruction, and experience in interprofessional education, community collaborations, and strengthening diversity, equity and inclusion.
This full-time position requires delivery of didactic, laboratory, pre-clinical, and clinical instruction to dental hygiene students. Other exciting expectations include development and updating of courses, student advising, academic scholarship and service commitments (e.g. participation in university and professional association committees and activities).

Position Requirements: For consideration, applicants must have one of the following degrees: PhD/DDS/DMD/MS. In addition, for consideration applicants must have a minimum of three years of dental hygiene clinical practice experience and either have or be immediately eligible for an Indiana dental or dental hygiene license.
Preferred Qualifications: Priority will be given to candidates who have had previous academic experience with a strong commitment to teaching.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, experience and credentials.
