Department of History at Georgia State University (downtown Atlanta campus) invites applications for a tenure-track Associate Professor in
African-American History before 1865 with a record of distinguished research and teaching. The department is especially interested in
scholars whose work speaks to connections between African, African-American, and Indigenous populations, belief structures, and religious
practices. The ability to contribute to existing department initiatives in the African Atlantic World, environmental, and Georgia history is
