The department administers accredited programs of B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and M.S. in Computer Engineering, with five major concentration areas: Communications, Computer Engineering, Digital Signal Processing, Electronic Materials and Devices, and Systems & Control. The recently established computer engineering B.S. program is well on its way to accreditation. We are proud of our diverse and vibrant student body of over 500 undergraduate and 180 graduate students, which is active in various national and international engineering and honor societies such as IEEE, SWE, NSBE, SHPE, EWB, Eta Kappa Nu and Tau Beta Pi.
I fully expect the department will continue to grow in the coming years, and as we grow I'm confident that our commitment to excellence in education, research, and service will remain true. I invite you to visit us and find out more about our exciting programs, dedicated faculty, world-class research, and student activities. Once you've had a chance to learn about the department, I am sure you will become as enthusiastic as I am about both our past achievements and the promising possibilities for the future.
