Suicide Prevention Coordinator Western Washington University Position Responsibilities: Continued development and implementation of suicide prevention strategies aimed at increasing college students mental well-being and maximizing students ability to attain academic success, with multiculturally informed programming inclusive of diverse populations. Utilization of theory and research to inform prevention priorities; using evaluation to assess prevention outcomes. Seeking and cultivating interdisciplinary campus and community partnerships that advance suicide prevention and mental health promotion initiatives. Using mental health communication strategies and social marketing as part of comprehensive prevention programming. Coordinating programs website and social media efforts. Coordinate all general outreach, tabling events, and other opportunities to interface with the campus community. Chair the Suicide Prevention Advisory Committee and serve on relevant campus committees and workgroups. Supervising student interns, volunteers or peer health educators.
