Department Information

The department values the full spectrum of research, including theoretical and methodological development, computational methods, and applications. A particular strength of the department has been its success in collaborative research with many units across the university. In addition to a variety of degrees in Statistics, the department has strong roles in the interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Biostatistics, the undergraduate major in Data Analytics, and the Translational Data Analytics Institute. The department is strongly committed to maintaining the healthy collegial atmosphere and mentoring programs that are essential to the growth of its faculty, students, and staff.
