Tenure-track position in United States in the World, with a comparative field in Latin American history, at the rank of assistant professor. Effective August, 2020. Ph.D. required. The successful candidate will offer courses at the introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels in 20th and 21st-century US history and US in the world, as well as take turns in the department’s required courses: methodologies and a senior capstone seminar. The individual would typically offer one or two courses on Latin America per year and would be expected to participate in the rotation of department faculty members fulfilling our contributions to the college first-year course. The standard annual teaching load is five courses. The College provides a generous sabbatical leave program and professional development support for both research and teaching.
