Overview: The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking to hire a faculty member at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level for our preK-12 leadership program. We are interested in individuals who are committed to scholarship, research and teaching that address issues of social justice, equity, diversity, and difference across educational settings. Candidates should have demonstrated excellence or the potential for excellence in teaching, research and publication, and professional service focused on school administration and leadership that advances learning and expands educational opportunity for all students. The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (elpa.education.wisc.edu) is part of the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. It is the nation's top-ranked graduate program in educational leadership. The mission of the department is to create, integrate, exchange, and apply knowledge about leadership, learning, and organizational performance to advance educational quality and opportunity. Many of our graduates go on to positions as professors and educational leaders in the United States and across the globe. Departments and faculty in the UW-Madison School of Education are addressing some of society’s most critical needs from challenges in education at all levels to issues in health and other human services while also contributing to the quality of life through the arts. The successful candidate will teach courses associated with the preparation of educational leaders and scholars; conduct research and publish; secure external funding; advise master's, certification, and Ph.D. students and contribute to outreach, consistent with the Wisconsin Idea. Principal duties: Develop, maintain and advance a nationally recognized and externally funded research program; Teach courses in face-to-face and on-line formats; Advise and mentor master's and doctoral students; Participate in faculty governance and provide committee service associated with departmental, School of Education, and university membership; Contribute professionally to educational leadership and policy at the local, state, and national levels.
