The professorship is dedicated to the area of molecular and cellular biochemistry, with a focus on the (patho)physiology of energy and lipid metabolism in animal models (preferably in mice). The professorship is thematically and organisationally embedded in the area Biochemistry 2 at the Institute for Molecular Biosciences (IMB).
