POSITION: The Department of Education Studies at UW-Eau Claire seeks up to two positions at the tenure-track rank of assistant, associate, or full professor beginning August 20, 2020. The department seeks energetic, collaborative educators to help move the Teacher Education program forward and assist with significant redesign in light of broad-based licensure changes in the state of Wisconsin. Successful applicants will be qualified to teach a variety of undergraduate teacher preparation courses, participate in research/scholarly activities, and provide service and leadership to the department, the college, the university, the community and the profession. Participation in high impact practices, such as immersion trips, would be encouraged. Successful applicants will have a strong interest in Collaborative Leadership and a demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion. RESPONSIBILITIES : Teach courses as assigned in the Department of Education Studies; participate in research and scholarly activities; supervise students in clinical settings; provide academic advising to students as assigned; engage in service to the university and community; and participate in department, college, and university committee work. Course workload would likely include some combination of introductory, general methods, assessment, content area or disciplinary literacy, science methods, and/or student teaching seminar courses.
