Clark University’s LEEP Center seeks to fill the position of Assistant Director for Undergraduate Research and Projects and LEEP Center Advisor. Reporting to the Assistant Director of the LEEP Center and Director of Special Projects, the successful candidate will identify and manage funded experiential learning opportunities for students, including internships, research, and independent projects and work in support of University initiative to guide students in the development of their personal and professional goals and ensure appropriate readiness for post-baccalaureate opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities: Included in a range of responsibilities, the Assistant Director will:

  • Manage student applications and design systems to track student participation and outcomes
  • Design and deliver relevant student preparation, reflection activities, and assessment
  • Work closely with faculty and staff to develop and market opportunities.
  • Manage budget for on-campus funding programs.
  • Serve as relationship manager for site hosts.
  • Engage in holistic advising, drawing from: academic advising, career counseling, and student development theories, Clark University academic requirements, Clark University resources, and national best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • The successful candidate will have Bachelor’s degree required; Master is preferred
  • Three to five years of experience in a University environment directly working with an undergraduate population; academic background and/or professional experience in a STEM discipline
  • Possess exceptional organizational and presentation skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, analyze, prioritize, and problem-solve within a fast-paced office environment with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to analyze and address the education, personal, and professional needs of students. Available to work some nights and weekends.
  • Technical qualifications include demonstrated experience with database-related software and student information systems.
