Associate Research Scientist
Columbia University, Mechanical Engineering Department


The Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking to hire an Associate Research Scientist.

The successful candidate will conduct research in the field of laser material processing of organic transparent dielectrics.

The objective of the project is a development of novel, non-invasive techniques for permanent vision correction.

Tasks will include femtosecond laser treatment of corneal tissue, implementation of software and hardware intended for experiment optimization as well as data analysis under the direct supervision of Dr. Sinisa Vukelic.

The successful candidate is a highly motivated and dedicated individual who is self-driven to excel in scholarly research.

Job Requirements

Minimum Degree Required: Ph.D.

Minimum Qualification: Three years experience in the field of laser material processing of organic transparent dielectrics
