The Electrical, Computer, and Telecommunications Engineering Technology (ECTET)department’s faculty engage students in a blend of project-based and research-oriented educational activities in one master-of-science degree and two bachelor-of-science degree programs.

ECTET’s 300 full-time students benefit from the department’s flexible and innovative instructional delivery that features world-class laboratories, cross-disciplinary education, collaborative activities, and 50 weeks of cooperative education industrial experience.

The ECTET department features state-of-the-art laboratories in smart and autonomous applications, embedded systems, electronics, power & energy, telecommunications, and audio.

The College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) is one of RIT’s eight colleges enrolling 12 percent of the university’s students. CAST is known throughout the RIT, national, and international communities as an excellent choice for an education that embraces the integration of “hands-on learning” and application based instruction grounded in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects.
