Job Description: Full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach 3D Computer Animation in the Art Department

Specific Duties

Teach all levels of animation, as well as graduate level coursework.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining equipment, supervising work-study students, researching new technology and software, and keeping current with film and animation trends.

In addition to the specific responsibilities include, but not limited to, maintaining an ongoing record of creative work, scholarship, professional activities, and perform other duties as assigned in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Participation in departmental and university-wide committee work as well as student advisement will be required.

Job Requirements


  • Applicant must possess an MFA in a time-based art field.
  • Fluency in English language for final candidates will be assessed.


  • Two to Three years of university-level teaching.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with Maya and 3D Max, particularly within the field of character animation and performance.
  • Professional production experience are desirable.
