Mount Saint Mary's University, Los Angeles, invites outstanding candidates to apply for a full time faculty position in information systems or computer science starting Fall 2017 or Spring 2018.
A Ph.D. in information systems, computer science or a related field is required; however, ABD with teaching and research experience will be considered.
Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and a tenure-track position will be considered.
We seek a candidate who can help build our undergraduate program. This would include restructuring the existing computer science and computer information systems minors, developing an information systems or computer science major, increasing the participation of women, and assessing and growing the program.
An interest in collaborating with other programs and departments such as GIS, Biology (Bioinformatics), and Marketing is desirable.
The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in research, including supervising student research. The position will begin with a reduced teaching load and research expectation due to the additional responsibilities.
