Job Description

The Development Operations Coordinator is responsible for the internal operations of the CSM Foundation and its financial and donor database systems. This position is the lead for input and extraction of all information in the foundationís major donor database (Blackbaud Raiserís Edge), which holds more than 20,000 records of donors, alumni and prospects; and the collegeís financial accounting system, Colleague. This position handles all incoming donations, prepares all donation and pledge receipts and acknowledgments and deposits funds using office procedures, the donor database and the collegeís general ledger accounts. The Coordinator tracks revenue and expenses incurred by the Foundation and the Development Office and is also responsible for administrative duties within the Development office. The Development Operations Coordinator also assists with execution of all fundraising, friend-raising and stewardship events hosted by the CSM Foundation.

The work schedule for this position is 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.† Flexibility is required for some evening and weekend events.

Job Requirements

Required Skills

  • Associateís degree required (Bachelorís degree preferred)
  • Financial Tracking and shadow systems experience required
  • Requires 1-2 years experience in Raiserís Edge (or similar Fund Development database management software), as well as ability to quickly learn software.
  • Experience working in a fundraising office. †
  • Strong understanding of fundraising, donor & prospect management and marketing practices; as well as gift processing and financial processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required, including ability to work with finance in reconciling donation amounts and discrepancies.
  • Good interpersonal skills and successful experience as a member of a team.
  • Event experience is preferred.
