Clark Universityís University Advancement seeks a professional to fill the position of Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to assist the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations in securing $2-5 million in annual funding commitments for University programs, initiatives, and strategic priorities. This is comprised of preparing institutional and faculty grant proposals consistent with University needs and strategic priorities; stewarding donors and preparing and submitting grant reports; outreach to prospects/donors; as well as researching funding sources.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working with the Director, senior leadership, UA staff, and department chairs to identify CFR funding opportunities that support faculty and other priorities; identifying and qualifying additional CFR prospects; developing cultivation and solicitation strategies; managing relationships with CFR prospects and donors; letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports, including reviewing, writing, and editing; coordinating grant proposal review with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research; and coordinating grants administration and financial reporting with the Office of Business and Financial Services and Grant Accounting.

Within the Advancement Division, Corporate and Foundation Relations is partnered with the office of ClarkCONNECT and the Director of Employer Engagement. This newly formed group is overseen by the Executive Director of Alumni and Student Engagement, creating synergy and fundraising opportunities from our future corporate partners forged from our alumni connections.

Job Requirements


The successful candidate will hold a bachelorís degree. Candidates are expected to have 3 to 5 years of corporate and foundation relations or related grant-writing experience in a higher education or similar non-profit environment; exceptional writing and editing skills; the ability to translate information from a variety of disciplines for different audiences; demonstrated attention to detail; the ability to work with faculty and staff across campus, and staff from foundations and corporations; and knowledge of the corporate and foundation relations community and landscape; Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with Raiserís Edge or similar donor database.
