Working with the Director and various advisory boards, the Associate Director will assist in developing future programs – including procedures, resources, organization and funding requirements. Assist the director in improving capabilities of the facilities and initiating and executing other activities that provide for a dynamic and highly successful program.
  • Lead and oversee funding agency-specific reporting requirements, e.g., creating reports and highlights on a monthly-to-yearly basis (i.e. send highlights to the National Science Foundation).
  • Provide the Director, our funding partners, users, and other constituents with regular reports on the status of the facility. Be available to present such reports to the executive board, user committee, sponsoring organization, etc.
  • Expected to work in collaboration with the CHESS Administrator to advise the Director and make recommendations on the long-term plans for the facility – in procedures, programs, resources, organization, and funding requirements. Carry out the policy and programs established by the Director and the External Advisory Committee.
