A managerial level position that is responsible for providing a link between the specific grant program (e.g. GEAR UP, TRIO, etc.) and DCCCD individuals and groups. Acts as liaison between the college location and external groups, businesses, schools, and universities, which requires the ability to refine, advance, and promote the support services for the specific grant program. Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring programs which ensure program participation and program compliance within the grant objective.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, generate reports and communicate with others. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills to interact with varying levels of industry/agency contact and employees of the DCCCD and individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.
Works with light material requiring little physical effort.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher plus three years progressively responsible experience in grant coordination and/or programming or Associate’s degree plus five years progressively responsible experience in grant coordination and/or programming.
The position is funded by a 3 year grant awarded to Eastfield College from the Grants to Reduce Violent Crimes Against Women on Campus Program and authorized by the Violence Against Women Act of 2005. The Project Coordinator will, among other duties, perform administrative work, plan and implement special projects and services and coordinate program workshops, seminars & trainings.
*** Grant requirements***
Bachelor's degree or higher in counseling, criminal justice or related field. At least four years of experience in grant programs, program development, or proven and verifiable work experience related to the program area; one year of supervisory experience; experience coordinating, managing, and implementing similar projects; experience providing services for disadvantaged students and/or individuals; experience developing collaborative partnerships among college and/or community personnel; experience working with criminal justice, sexual assault victims services provider, or related field preferred.

Role and Responsibilities:
• Perform administrative work associated with the development, coordination and implementation of project activities.
• Adhere to strict student confidentiality guidelines.
• Assess the needs of students to gather information for program coordination.
• Plan and implement special projects and services to specific student populations.
• Coordinate and provide program workshops, seminars and training which include developing material to promote and inform as it relates to specific student populations.
• Acts as liaison with external off-campus location personnel and collaboration
