Assistant / Associate Professor in Nursing

The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler invites applicants to apply for one full-time tenure-track, assistant / associate professor faculty positions at rank and salary commensurate with experience to begin fall 2018.
This is a 9-month academic appointment, with a possible summer stipend. Review of applications will begin May 15, 2018 and the position will remain open until filled.
Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to, (1) primary teaching responsibility in a nationally recognized online graduate nursing programs (MSN, DNP, PhD) and highly successful BSN program; (2) maintaining an active program of scholarship; (3) mentoring and advising students; (4) participating in College and University service.
Nursing Program: Online graduate programs are currently ranked #5 in the country by US News & World Report in 2018; ranked #1 in the country for best Masterís in Nursing Programs Online for 2018 (https://www.bestcollegereviews.org/top/online-masters-in-nursing-programs/). We offer the Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing Administration; MSN in Nursing Education; MSN Family Nurse Practitioner; Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Nursing (Ph.D.). A nursing informatics, quality, & safety certificate will be offered beginning fall 2018, with plans for an MSN Informatics, Quality, and Safety for fall 2019. Location: Tyler, situated 100 miles east of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex amid the beautiful lakes and woods of East Texas, is an economically strong and rapidly growing community. With a population of 100,000, Tyler is the regional center for the arts, medical care, finance, and higher education.

Qualifications: (a) earned Doctorate in Nursing; (b) graduate teaching experience preferred; (c) eligible for licensure in Texas (d) evidence of program of scholarship; (e) record of extramural support and current competitive funding preferred.
