Website Content Associate
Anne Arundel Community College
The website content associate helps with the ongoing management and updating of the college website. The associate works closely with the website content manager in troubleshooting website content problems, managing the day-to-day updates, approving web copy as needed and assisting with training.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
With direction from the website content manager, write and edit effective and compelling web pages and establishing links, navigation, architecture and content organization to improve user experience. Adhere to editorial guidelines that helps maintain the right tone of voice throughout all forms of website content by gaining a thorough understanding of target audiences, the college brand, editorial guidelines and various campaign objectives.
Monitor and approve content changes through the collegeís content management system.
Help the website content manager evaluate, assign and address website content requests through the departments website content ticketing system.
Assist in regular training of more than 50 content contributors and more than 100 subject matter experts. Answer question and troubleshoot content problems as directed. Help prepare and distribute training materials.
Track and maintain a report of the content contributor and subject matter expertís page assignments and training participation.
Assist the manager in creating and implementing communications to the content contributors and subject matter experts that enhance their training.
Participate in regular website content production meetings and new feature project teams as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the website content manager, assistant director of marketing or executive director.
High school diploma or GED.
Candidates who have not earned an associateís or bachelorís degree must have completed at least 30 credits in post-secondary studies and be currently enrolled and actively pursuing a post-secondary degree.
Exceptional customer service and account management skills and proven ability to work with internal teams.
Excellent project management, problem-solving skills and organizational skills including the ability to work in a fast paced environment prioritize projects.
Self-motivated with a passion for sharing stories and inspiring others through digital media.
Exceptional editing skills and attention to detail.
A minimum of six months to two years' of related experience is required.
Experience in website content writing and content management systems preferred.
Experience in high education preferred.
Experience in marketing communications, particularly with digital marketing tools preferred.
Hours Per Week: 40
Work Schedule: M-F 8:30-4:30
