Pensacola State College is located on Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast. The Human Resources Office is accepting applications for the following administrative position in the Student Conduct Department:

STUDENT SUPPORT CASE MANAGER - JOB #2588

The Student Support Case Manager is a 12-month full-time professional/managerial position. The Student Support Case Manager will oversee and coordinate a student case management system responding to students of concern, students in crisis, and students in need of support for issues related to emotional or mental health by providing appropriate administrative follow up and resources as needed. Additionally, the Student Support Case Manager will serve in an on-call capacity to respond to students in crisis; handle highly sensitive information and keep up-to-date case management records in Maxient database; work closely with the Public Safety/College Police Department and other College departments and programs in responding to crisis situations; provide crisis intervention, advocacy, referrals, victim outreach, problem-solving, and coordination of off-campus resources available for students; serve on the College Behavioral Intervention Team; and implement training for faculty and staff on student issues and how to support students of concern. This position reports to the Director, Student Conduct.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education, or a closely related field. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education, or closely related field; three years of related work experience; experience with case management on a college or university campus; counseling experience; and current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

SALARY RANGE: $32,000.00 - $35,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable. However, the College does not generally hire at the top of the range.)

FRINGE BENEFITS: The value of the benefits package provided by the College is nearly 39% of the base salary and includes major medical insurance, life insurance and Florida retirement contributions. Supplemental life, dental, vision, and disability insurance are available at group rates.
