Clinical Instructor in Nursing
University of Texas at Tyler

The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler invites applicants to apply for a full-time non-tenure-track, clinical instructor faculty position at salary commensurate with experience to begin August 20, 2018. This is a 9-month academic appointment, with a possible summer stipend. Review of applications will begin immediately and the position will remain open until filled.

Duties include, but are not limited to: (1) teaching of on-site nursing courses; (2) conducting clinical experiences for BSN students; (3) mentoring and advising students; and (4) participating in College and University Service.

The highly respected BSN program enrolls over 700 pre-nursing and 620 nursing students each semester. Average pass rates on the NCLEX are 95% across three campuses located in Tyler, Longview, and Palestine, Texas. An on-line RN-BSN track provides associate degree and diploma prepared registered nurses opportunity to earn a BSN from an accredited, respected program. Online graduate programs are currently ranked #5 in the country by US News & World Report in 2018; Ranked #1 in List of Top Ten Nursing Schools in Texas (toptenscu.com). We offer the Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing Administration; MSN in Nursing Education; MSN- Family Nurse Practitioner; Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Nursing (Ph.D.) and Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP); and are currently in the developmental stages of offering a Master of Nursing Informatics. Location: Tyler, situated 100 miles east of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex amid the beautiful lakes and woods of East Texas, is an economically strong and rapidly growing community. Job Requirements

(a) Masterís degree in Nursing, preferably in nursing education; (b) Clinical experience nursing, mental health preferred; (c) Eligible for Texas licensure; (d) BSN teaching experience preferred.
