Welcome/Onboarding Success Coach
Temporary, 1 year contract
Midcoast Campus, Brunswick


RESPONSIBILITIES: The Welcome/Onboarding Success Coach will provide a specific focus on college success programming for target student populations, and supports the coordination and delivery of the full spectrum of Advising services at the Midcoast Campus.

The Success Coach will be responsible for reaching out to students who recently applied or were accepted, in an effort to build a positive relationship between the student, program, and College early in the process. This work will include providing placement testing and counseling; orientating students to the college; connecting students with program faculty/students; and assisting with course selection and registration support as appropriate.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree, and one year of recent admissions/advising experience in a community college setting. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelorís degree, two years of recent experience in a community college, with specific experience in admissions/advising. Excellent writing and presentation skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with staff and faculty.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: 1-2 years of related experience working with underserved student populations, preferably in a community college setting. Excellent written and oral communication as well as interpersonal, relationship-building, group facilitation and problem-solving skills. Must be highly organized and proficient in computer use including the Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge and experience working with Powerfaids and or with Jenzabar EX is beneficial.

STATUS: Temporary, 1 Year Contract SALARY: $31,926.69 ($1,227.95 biweekly)
