The School of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AAE) at Purdue University invites outstanding individuals to apply for a position as a 50% continuing lecturer and 50% laboratory course coordinator. The laboratory courses will be taught in the broad disciplines of “Aerodynamics” and “Structures and Materials.” Candidates with interest and experience in these areas are encouraged to apply.
The position will entail working with faculty to update existing and develop new laboratory modules within the core undergraduate “Aerodynamics” and “Structures and Materials” curricula.
Laboratory updates will include the addition of virtual labs to provide interactive learning environments.
Additionally, the instructor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate level courses, which includes introducing the background material and learning objectives to students at the beginning of the laboratories and coordinate responsibilities of the graduate teaching assistants.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral level degree in aerospace engineering, with emphasis in fluid and/or solid mechanics, or a closely related field.
