The University of Pikeville (UPIKE), the Leading University in Central Appalachia is actively seeking candidates for a full-time staff position in the Upward Bound program. The Development Advisor is a salaried position, which is dependent on continued federal grant funding.
The Development Advisor is expected to perform all duties required by the University of Pikevilleís Upward Bound program by carrying out the following responsibilities:
- Review and collect all data necessary to qualify participants for acceptance into the program.
- Document all required steps in the approval selection process as well as the academic, personal, and career guidance components of the program.
- Responsible for scheduling and conducting visits to target schools while recruiting qualifying participants.
- Deliver and document all information regarding support services.
- Maintain the programís professional relationships with the local high schools.
- Other duties as assigned.
