Health Services Administration - Full-time Tenure Track position

The Health Services Administration (HSA) department is seeking a qualified professional for a full-time tenure/tenure-track position. The faculty position will begin in August of 2018. The HSA department seeks candidates who are highly-motivated self-starters who utilize an equity lens in their approach to teaching, scholarship, and service.
The department is home to several post-baccalaureate level certificates and to five degree programs including the BS in Health Services Management, the BS in Public Health, the BS in Health Analytics, the MS in Health Services Administration and the EdD in Health Administration. The department is part of the School of Health Professions and is known for its collaborative and community-oriented approaches to teaching, scholarship, and service.
Applicants will be expected to teach in multiple programs, to mentor and advise students, to direct student thesis and dissertation work, to serve on departmental and college committees, to develop and/or maintain an active scholarship agenda, and to engage in professional and community service activities.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and mentorship skills, demonstrate service activities, demonstrate or have the potential to sustain a scholarship agenda, and to manage student thesis and/or dissertation work.
Terminal degree (PhD, EdD, JD, MD) in health administration or a related/relevant field.
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching, mentorship, and/or preceptor experience. Further, we particularly encourage applications from candidates with a planned research agenda, and practical experience in healthcare law, policy, finance, human resource, management, analytics, and/or information technology.
