Responsible for planning and implementing outreach and recruitment efforts designed to attract and recruit potential DCCCD students. Coordinates outreach activities in a variety of settings with DCCCD colleges and locations, area school districts, community organizations and area employers to promote DCCCD credit and non credit programs and serve the educational needs of identified populations. Responsible for engaging the community through productive partnerships with the faith-based community, local chambers of commerce and other community based organizations.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Thorough familiarity of all segments of the Dallas county community including demographics, diverse strata and community groups. Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Excellent organizational skills and ability to utilize computer technology to access data, generate reports and communicate with others. May be necessary to be proficient in other languages other than English. Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.
Requires ability to lift and carry moderately heavy materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher plus three years’ experience in educational and/or student services or related field or Associate’s degree and five years’ experience in educational and/or student services or related field. Requires valid driver’s license. Official transcripts will be required. ***Will be subject to a criminal background check and fingerprint check.***
