Teaches students effectively in assigned classes and maintains office hours for student consultation in accordance with procedures outlined in the Dallas County Community College Board Policy Manual and/or agreed upon with immediate supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated skills in successfully working with diverse populations through experiences such as formal training and past work experiences. The ability to provide quality customer service.
May be required to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Technical Program in HVAC. Minimum Associate in Applied Science Degree in Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or closely related field.
Must have verifiable demonstrated work experience in the field.
Industry Required Certification for EPA Universal required.
ICE or NATE certifications are preferred.
Industrial training experience is a plus.
Will be involved in recruitment activities for the program and possibly teaching in the Early College High School program.
Master’s degree or higher in the teaching discipline or Master’s degree or higher with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). One year of demonstrated teaching experience required. Official transcripts will be required. ***Will be subject to a criminal background check. Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check.***
