Founded in 1919, AUC moved to a new 270-acre state-of-the-art campus in New Cairo in 2008. The Department of Management at the School of Business seeks a seasoned scholar or industry leader for the Willard W. Brown Chair of International Business Leadership at an Associate/Full Professor of Practice level on a one-year renewable contract to start Fall 2018. We seek a recognized authority in the field of international business who can draw on a wealth of experience in developing solutions for multinational business organizations, with particular emphasis on leadership in international trade, finance and marketing and demonstrated cross cultural and international awareness.
Through teaching, lectures, and scholarly publications, the holder of the Chair will provide AUC's students and the greater Cairo business community with insights and techniques of the highest quality for the management of international businesses.
The primary criterion for appointment is a demonstrated record of professional and/or scholarly impact on the field of international business through extensive experience in academia and/or other various settings (e.g. private or public sectors). Applicants with academic teaching or executive education instruction experience are preferred. In terms of credentials at minimum applicants should hold an MBA or a master's degree/professional certification in a relevant field. A PhD in a business-related field is considered a plus. All academic credentials should be from accredited universities.
Practice faculty should have a minimum of 8 years of relevant business experience including 3 years in a leadership position as well as continue to hold conduct professional activities related to his/her discipline.
