Director of Clinical Services
The Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology in the College of Health Sciences at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI is seeking applications from highly qualified speech-language pathologists to fill a non-tenure track faculty position as Director of Clinical Services in the Speech-Language Pathology program. The successful applicant will provide leadership and management for the Marquette University Speech and Hearing Clinic.
Provide oversight for the day-to-day and ongoing operations of the MU Speech and Hearing Clinic. Supervise undergraduate and graduate student practicum, as needed. Maintain clinical data and monitor student progress in clinical practica. Arrange and schedule medical clinical placements. Supervise off campus placements. Help assure quality of student clinical education and ethical provision of clinical services in compliance with appropriate standards for program accreditation and student credentialing. Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Chair of the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology and/or the Dean of the College. This is a twelve-month, full-time on-going non-tenured faculty position with benefits at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor.
Responsibilities include recruiting, supervising, and reviewing performance of clinical supervisors and administrative staff in collaboration with department chair; screening/reviewing requests for services; assigning clients to clinical faculty & graduate students; directly supervising student clinicians, as needed; establishing and implementing policies and procedures; maintaining and establishing contracts with community agencies; marketing services and developing new clinical programs; teaching clinical methods courses; and providing service to the department through collaboration, advising, and committee membership. And other duties as assigned by the chair of the department.
Required Qualifications: Masters degree in speech-language pathology; ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC/SP); Wisconsin State License to practice speech-language pathology (or immediate eligibility); and minimum 5 years experience as a clinical speech-language pathologist.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in university teaching, clinical supervision, and/or clinical administration.
