The Program Coordinator for the Wellness, Fitness and Aquatics Department is responsible for the operation of the Fitness Center on the La Plata campus, the development, delivery and evaluation of wellness-related courses, activities and instructors and representation of the department to alliance associations and community groups. The program coordinator is responsible for assisting the department director with the development and implementation of new departmental initiatives including increasing enrollment, revenue and budget oversight. This position is required to interact professionally with external/internal clients, students, employers, coworkers in both written and verbal form. The selected candidate must possess excellent verbal communication skills, particularly in responding to student issues or client questions, as the front-line representative of the department. This position is responsible for creating and distributing written correspondence to community members, students, clients, instructors and employers.
The work schedule for this position is 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., hours may vary depending upon activities and events. Flexibility is required.
